Hey guys. It's been forever. I'll be posting this elsewhere as well. Soo...I've been married over a year now and just recently our first child was born on March 17th 8lbs 3ou 20 1/4 inch. Isabella Jane. She's absolutely the cutest baby girl I've ever seen. She's already got a full head of hair and my wife's cheeks and my eyes (and hairline). Our first night out of the hospital was rough because we had to be somewhere early the next morning and Bella kept us both up. Slowly but surely though, we've been able to get on a somewhat decent sleeping pattern with her. I'll usually handle nights (waking up twice usually) while Angelique does days (since she stays home). Every moment with Bella is worth it though. The first time she smiled at me was one of the most wonderful feelings ever. She's definitely got me wrapped around her finger. Did I think I'd be a father at 22? I don't know. But I do know every moment we've gotten to share with our baby girl has been amazing. It just saddens me that she will grow up so quickly. At least we have a video camera!

News of the day. I have roughly 3 weeks to learn 5 songs for a wedding.

2 of them are easy wedding marches. Huzzah!

1 of them is a pretty difficult version of Cannon in D major.

The other 2 are From this Moment by Shania Twain and When I say I do by Clint Black. The Shania song has 3 key changes! At least the Clint Black song looks fairly easy.

Now is my chance to actually prove I know my stuff. And maybe get paid? Yes. It's a coworkers wedding...just have to name my price.

Crazy crazy month.

Saw Alice In Chains, Del the Funky Homosapien, and Wilco all in the span of two weeks.

And I got a 500 dollar phone bill.

That wasn't quite my fault. Luckily the issue has been resolved.

And I went on the diabetes walk in San Antonio on Saturday! That was cool...basically got a bunch of free stuff including the companion book to the movie Wordplay which I still want to see. And the walk itself only took about an hour. And hooray for rain! Lucky it didn't rain while I was actually walking!

Later on Saturday..I met up with my girls from Abilene and we went to Fiesta Texas which was a blast! I haven't been in a while..and Crystal had never gone. And it rained the last 2 hours of our time there. We ended up riding the Gully washer 4 times in the downpour. Crazy but fun. My shoes still aren't dry...

Oh right, I know have a season pass for this year and next year at fiesta texas because their prices are so jacked up now. The season pass was only 1 dollar more than the regular ticket!

Hooray! I'm listening to "Tv on the Radio's" Return to Cookie  Mountain. It's great stuff so far. And oh so free right now! Dig it.

That was the same way I ended up picking up St Elswhere by Gnarls Barkley....got to listen to the whole thing free a couple of times on myspace before the album dropped.

Behold the wonders of Youtube.

Well that's enough about youtube. Bet you're all just happy that I decided to freaking update this thing. Livejournal always seems to have something new every time I updated (considering it takes me half a year sometimes). Hooray for video uploads! And other things!

But what has happened in my life in the last couple of months? Plenty yes.

Quick rundown.

- Still not in school
- Got the same job, still great though.
- Had an awesome vacation with my dad on a roadtrip to Colorado for a karaoke convention. And I met my uncle and his family.
- Girlfriend broke off all contact with me once I got back.
- Friend o' mine decided he wanted to be an ex friend o' mine.
- Saw some great bands in Austin (Don Cab, Advantage) to get my mind off things.
- Got my ps2 repaired...sorta.
- Sold my soul to Guitar Hero (The root of all Evil!*tm) but not really :)
- Plan to finally buy a left handed guitar. Leftys are the true root of all evil.
- Plan to do a lot of things....music writing included
- Have settled into my new room in my new apartment. It's pretty grand.
- Got a ticket both for speeding and for....loitering (unknowingly I promise) in a park after hours. 11 people got tickets I think?
- Bro Ammon is finally get back from Iraq. Intact. That's a fact. Jack.

I am still very much alive.

Despite getting my wisdom teeth pulled out today.

And blood flowed on and on and on...

Anyway, last 4 movies I saw! In backwards sequential order (for kicks)

Poseidon - Ok...a boat movie featuring the underwater god would have been better...or at least a sea monster (oh wait! deep rising...)

Mission Impossible 3 - Never saw the first 2, but this one ain't bad. It just ain't...uh much more than a popcorn movie.

Nanny McPhee - Mostly great! I loved the colors used in the film and the much of the humor...

Date Movie - Avoid avoid avoid. Or don't and prepare to sit through some pretty bad jokes.

I have another nephew to add to my collection *evil laugh*. Kyle Ammon Hickman was born sometime in the morning on Saturday, March 18th.

Out of pure spontaneity my mom, my sister and I drove up to Abilene Sunday afternoon and saw the baby. He's got more hair then his dad! Well mostly.

Anyway, my sister and I took turns driving home. I was lucky. I only had to drive through the tornado watch area! Well I really only had to go through bad fog, and I could see the storms off in the distance. Though my sister really got the worst of it while I lay couped up in the back of the car. The closer we got to home, the harder the rain came down until my mom and I got home.....we were met with the worst part of the storm, which was hovering over Universal City. Of course I didn't know this when I stepped out of the car and I was met with machine gun rain.

I think I fell asleep at about 2. At 5 I decided I wasn't going to work today and called in. 3 hours of sleep + stomach virus thing = no work for Aaron. Hooray!
